Bring on the Avalanche!

With a 3-0 victory tonight, my beloved Ducks eliminated the #3 seeded Calgary Flames from the NHL playoffs and will play host to the Colorado Avalanche in the 2nd round.

Initially, I thought we'd end up the #5 seed and get a chance to rip through Nashville. But the team got lazy after qualifying for the playoffs and paid the price by having to go through a rough 7-game series with Calgary.

We'll have home ice advantage in this series, which starts on Friday.

Game 1 - Fri, May 5 – at Anaheim, 10:00 pm EDT
Game 2 - Sun, May 7 – at Anaheim, 3:00 pm EDT
Game 3 - Tue, May 9 – at Colorado, 8:00 pm EDT
Game 4 - Thu, May 11 – at Colorado, 10:00 pm EDT
Game 5 - Sun, May 14 – at Anaheim, 3:00 pm EDT (if necessary)
Game 6 - Wed, May 17 – at Colorado (if necessary)
Game 7 - Fri, May 19 – at Anaheim (if necessary)

Nice game on sunday. This goalie the ducks have is pretty good. Is jiguere still with the team?

Sweet Vic. Yeah, Giguere is still here. Bryzgalov is a backup goalie and he's been this season's surprise. Things look good right now. If we can take at least one game from Colorado at home, I think we're in great shape.
