Gonso's back, and we make him pay for it - dearly. Rick from Big Foamy Head treats us to 2 of his home brews - a Hazelnut Porter and a Rauchber, along with a fantastic bomber of Imperial Gaelic Ale from Highland Brewing
Rick also sends us 3 tremendous rubs from the Memphis area, that we rub on some pork chops and grill to perfection. In addition, we're treated to 2 great home brew offerings from the boys at spAce Brewing.

Guys, I'm gushing over here! Glad you enjoyed the goodies... hopefully as much as I admire your homebrews! Memphis does have some great BBQ. Tripping the Velvet - must see. Remind me not to go to the movies with cLarKe, the only reason I go is to shove popcorn in my face! I'm sure it would annoy the crap out of him. Great angry old man rant though. ;) 41 going on 70! Herr Gonso, cool story about the girls in France. You can sauce it up a bit ... you know, where you all end up in bed together at the end. Dawg, you're still the coolest. Thanks for the Bistro recommendation!
Just got a chance to listen to this. Great show. Glad to see Gonzo back. Clark's rant on theaters is so right on the money too. I have not had great experiences there myself. It's so expensive now, and I'd like to at least watch the film without someone's crying kid screaming in my ear. Most times I'll wait for the DVD.
Saw fags of our fathers and thought it was ok but wished it had more battle scenes. Agree with you on the theater shit. I have a decent movie house here in town, but I'm with everyone else. I'll wait for the DVD.
That's proof positive those rubs were brilliant - that wasn't pork. I think it was my neighbor's pet or something. You could pour that rub on a huge dog turd and I'd eat that shit up. :-D

Daniel Craig totally looks like a tough motherf*cker, which is what the Bond franchise needed, I think.
Oh, and "Letters from Iwo Jima" got bumped up 2 full months. It'll be released just in time to qualify for the Oscars. That's Eastwood's companion film to Flags of Our Fathers, which tells the Japanese side of the story. I think they know they've got a real hit on their hands. I can't wait to see it.
Casino Royal is a piece of shit. It's already in the all-time Top 20 list of most movie mistakes.Check this out.

Hey, can you post a recipe for those rubs? I love trying new rubs, but they can get expensive. Have you ever been to Barbecue Galore? They have a lot of different rubs and marinades there. The pork (or whatever it was) sounds like it was good.
I couldn't begin to give you a recipe for any of those rubs. They were all over the map. I think you might be able to order them online, though.
BBQs Galore is a great place. When I can't find a specific type of wood that I want to smoke with, I'll go there and get exactly what I need. They sell some pretty cool hot sauces too.
